To set up the NLS database software on your PC, decide to do one of the following:

If you decide to use the CD-ROM to read, load, and retrieve the data, you will have to specify the output location for the files you create. This is because you cannot write to the CD-ROM. You may start up the CHRRDBA software in one of two ways: from Windows’ File Manager or the DOS prompt.
2.1.1 MicrosoftÒ WindowsÔTo run CHRRDBA from the MSWindows’ File Manager, open the window of the CD-ROM in File Manager and double click on
When you double click on the icon/executable file, the dialogue box shown in Figure 2.1 will appear.
2.1.2 MS-DOSÒTo run CHRRDBA from MS DOS, you must do the following at the DOS prompt. Change the directory to that of the CD-ROM drive., e.g.,
After double-clicking on the icon or after <Enter> is pressed, the dialogue box shown in Figure 2.1 will appear.

When the dialogue box shown in Figure 2.1 appears, type in the path [drive:\directory\ etc.] where you want the output to go. Make sure the folder/directory (e.g. ‘Output’) exists before specifying it. The software will not automatically create it.
If you decided to copy the files from the CD-ROM to one of your hard disks, you may start up the CHRRDBA software in one of the two ways specified above, but you will not have to identify the output file. The CHRRDBA program will specify default output path., i.e., the path were the CHRRDBA program is located, e.g., d:\CHRR_DBA\
